Ordination
of Bishop-elect, Rt Rev Mgr Liam MacDaid:
The ordination
will take place in St. Macartan’s Cathedral on
Sunday 25th July at 3.00pm. A limited number of tickets
have boon allocated to each parish. If you would like
to attend the ordination ring the Parochial House (88120)
and leave you name. If there are more than 10 people
from Donagh Parish interested in attending it will be
necessary to put the names in a hat and pull out the
ten who will represent the parish in the Cathedral on
the day. (There is only an allocation of 10 tickets
for Donagh Parish.) However, as the ordination of a
new Bishop in the Diocese concerns everybody an effort
is being made by Mgr Mac Daid to reach as many people
as possible across the diocese. Resource material on
the role of the bishop will be sent to each parish;
and the ceremony will be streamed live on the web.

N2 Clontibret to Northern Ireland Border Road
Scheme:
The next part
of the process is to view the various route corridor
options and to invite the public to make submissions
to assist in the selection of a preferred route corridor
for the N2 Clontibret to Northern Ireland border Road
Scheme.
The public consultation
is taking place in the Four Seasons Hotel on Wednesday
7th July and Thursday 8th July 2010 between 12noon and
8pm each day.
The public will
be able to make their submissions and view the route
options by coming along.
The Consultants for the Scheme and staff from Monaghan
County Council will be available to deal with any queries
at this venue.
