Development Association
is holding its
second annual walk around Emy Lough on Sunday 27th September,
2009 at 2.00pm. Please bring suitable walking gear,
camera and all the family. Certificates will be issued
to all participants on completion of walk. Refreshments
will be available. Any donations will go towards further
development of the walkway. Please Note – walk
not yet well enough developed for wheel chair users
or buggies. Golf Ball race on the day!

St. Joseph’s
Young Priests Society
report on their
recent One Day Retreat to Lough Derg. Twenty eight parishioners
from Truagh and Donagh joined for this opportunity to
relax and renew our faith Lough Derg is one of Ireland’s
most inspiring places of pilgrimage. Upon arriving at
the island we were welcomed and invited to relax and
enjoy tea and scones. We participated in the prayers
of the Rosary, Stations of the Cross and Prayers of
Healing. Confession was available. Exposition of the
Blessed Sacrament took place before we joined in the
celebration of Mass. The members of St. Joseph’s
wish to thank all who attended our sponsored retreats
to Knock and Lough Derg and hope many more will attend
in the future.
