Make a Commitment
for Lent:
You have often
been asked: What are you giving up for Lent?
The challenge can be put more positively: What are you
taking up for Lent?
Obvious possibilities: Daily Mass; a quiet moment of
prayer each day; Stations of the Cross; The family Rosary.
Less obvious possibilities: Visit a neighbour; offer
your help to the altar society in the parish; make yourself
available to help in the Holy Week Ceremonies (Readers
